Geordie Bowl XV
Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd August 2026
Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd August 2026
Geordie Bowl XV is a two-day Blood Bowl tournament bringing together coaches from across the North East and beyond for a full weekend of brutal, brilliant Blood Bowl.
Now in its fifteenth running, Geordie Bowl is a long-standing fixture of the North East Blood Bowl calendar, known for its friendly atmosphere, good sportsmanship, and strong sense of community.
This year’s event will use a split format after Day One, giving coaches the chance to compete for different honours across the weekend. Whether you are chasing the Geordie Bowl title, battling for the Geordie Cup, or attending your first North East event, you will be very welcome.
Geordie Bowl XV will be held at Clubhouse Gaming, a dedicated tabletop gaming venue in Newcastle city centre, just off the Quayside.
Venue:
Clubhouse Gaming, 56 Close, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 3RJ
The venue is easy to reach by train, bus, or car.
Getting There – Train / Metro
Clubhouse Gaming is an easy walk from Newcastle Central Station — around 9 minutes from the main station entrance (per Google Maps).
By Bus
There is a bus stop directly outside the venue, served by Go North East buses.
Parking
The following public car parks are all within easy walking distance:
Stephenson Quarter Car Park – Forth Banks, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 3PH
Dean Street Car Park – 12–18 Dean Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1PG
Forth Banks Car Park (small, limited spaces) – Forth Banks, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 3PA
Geordie Bowl XV will be played as two linked competitions across the weekend.
Full-weekend coaches must use the same team and roster for both days. Coaches may not change race, or switch rosters between Day One and Day Two.
All full-weekend coaches will play three games on Saturday. Round 1 pairings will be random, with Rounds 2 and 3 paired using Swiss-style pairings.
After Day One, the top 12 coaches will separate from the main field and continue into the Premiership on Sunday, playing three further Swiss-style rounds to compete for the Geordie Bowl XV — Premiership title.
The Sunday Scrap will take place on Sunday only.
Coaches who do not qualify for the Premiership will move into the Sunday Scrap and will carry their Day One points with them. Sunday-only entrants will also join the Sunday Scrap, subject to ticket availability and capacity, and will start on 0 points.
The Sunday Scrap will be played over three Swiss-style rounds.
Day One: Win 2 / Draw 1 / Loss 0
Day Two: Win 20 / Draw 10 / Loss 0
Day Two results will decide the final standings within each section. Day One points still matter where coaches are tied on their Day Two record.
If coaches are tied on points, standings will be decided using the following tie breakers, in order:
Roster submitted on time
Strength of Schedule
Touchdown Difference
Random / TO decision
https://bbtm.app will be used for pairings and scorekeeping. No download or account is needed, but coaches will be expected to enter their results.
